Dr. Howard S. Golan, DDS

I met with Dr. Howard Golan today and I must say he’s wonderful! He is kind, knowledgeable, honest and compassionate. Also, his staff is friendly and his office manager, Leslie was very patient and kind as I called there about 4 or 5 times asking various questions. Thank you Dr. Golan and staff!

I had a cavity in a molar and wanted to find a dentist with the Waterlase machine - this is an amazing machine that uses laser energized water instead of the old fashioned dental drill, you can see it on youtube. I found a couple dentists that claimed they had this machine and did laser dentistry on their websites but when I went in for a consultation, the machine was not there, only the old drill - they just had excuses for me when I asked about it. I think they just had small lasers for doing gum work if even that, those cannot do cavities. I called the Biolase company that makes this machine and they referred me to Dr. Golan, he is the real deal - the machine was right there when I went for the consultation and I had the work done right then and there with this Waterlase machine. This is the first cavity I had "drilled" with this new technology, it pulses the laser with water and does not have any vibrations like the drill has. Once you experience the laser, no one will ever want to go back to a drill dentist again. I had it done without any novacaine so this eliminated the needle and irritation for that as well. Then he also used a Biomimetic filling material that has fibers in it to help it flex with your tooth and reinforce it, this is the latest stuff here and the goal is to save your tooth from needing a root canal and preserve a living tooth. I had this done over a month ago and was lucky because I was traveling right after. So far so good, the tooth looks like new and feels great. I will definitely use Dr. Golan as my dentist now. I will keep everyone posted on any work I have done:)
